I have a problem with my battery going flat from time to time - regularly in fact. One thing I have noticed which may or may not be relevant is that if I take a call on my mobile in the house the BT in the car takes over, which means its on even though the car is locked up and "asleep". My previous cars have not done this - so my question is simple is this normal behaviour or should I be taking a closer look.
I have a Wiggs module if that's in any way relevant.
Any experience shared would be gratefully received  Geoff

Switch your bluetooth off on your phone either that or park your car at the end of the street you must be quite near the car when you take a call  ====================================

My guess is when you are phoning the car might still be picking up the signal and booting up if it is not properly going to sleep …

I always find it irritating that when the phone rings in my pocket when on a visit somewhere I cant answer as the call is going through the car even when car locked up and 30 yards away. Probably a way of answering the phone in a specific way but if you just hit the green answer thing on the screen it never works. Ho hum.

My BT module stops hijacking my calls almost immediately after I have turned the car off, longest that it has affected the phone is maybe 5 minutes after locking the car, but normally it is pretty instant. If your BT module is staying on that could explain your electricity issues?

If I get a call immediately after getting out of the car and prior to the car 'going to sleep', it automatically transfers to car.
After the car has gone to sleep, it's not an issue, the phone operates as intended. Similarly if I unlock the car to get something out, then re-lock it, the car maintains the connection for a short time, until it goes back to sleep.
I too don't have a 'West wing' and my phone is almost always within range of the car.
Not sure what phone you have but a good test would be to park up car, lock it then watch for the Bluetooth symbol on your phone to go off. If it doesn't you have a fault. A battery disconnect with the reset process (touching the pos and neg leads together once disconnected, sorted out a Bluetooth gremlin I had. Maybe give that a try.
Make sure to let the car power down fully prior to dis-connecting battery, think the hand book advises 10min wait. Hopefully someone else may be able to confirm this? If not check out the WIKI section, sure there is a battery disconnect procedure in there. Hope this helps.

If some thing is stopping your car going to sleep the Bluetooth will always be on .

My newer module stopped almost as soon as the key was removed from the lock. My older upgraded one seems to take a few minutes for the car to go to sleep to fully close down but on an iPhone you can change tte audio source once you answer the phone  FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
