Might be worth checking the mounting faces where the wheel and hub bolt together to make sure they are clean. this would cause the steering wheel to shake. '04 td6 se

could be a binding brake caliper. had this on mine last week - vibration through the steering wheel at 50-60 mph. Took wheel off, checked brake was free, now vibration gone, all good! |

Binding usually caused by a perished rubber seal on the caliper piston, had this ages ago. After a run , touch the wheel, if its hot, caliper sticking on, mine used to get so hot the pads would be smoking like a bstard. |

if it drove ok before the work was done then the problem is related to the work carried out, take it back and complain.. ... - .- -.

I did Stan I got under the car with my mechanic we went through everything but could not find a thing however the brake calipers had to come off and it sounds plausible that this is the issue |

Ring your mechanic and ask if he has an infrared thermometer... Then arange a time you can "GENTLY" drive the car to him and he can zap both wheels and compare the temps... |
