Changing coolant Expansion Tank

2004 V8 Vogue.

About to change it for a new one due to a split. Is it as simple as drain the tank, disconnect all pipes and electrical sensor plug, put new one in and refit pipes and fill it up. Will there be any airlocks? any tips Gone:

Golf GT TDI 150- Still got.
BMW 325TD
Range Rover Classic
Defender 90

cheeers will give it a go. once the expansion tank is on and totally brim full, you fill the coke bottle three quarters and turn it up side down into the expansion tank, and start her up. Gone:

As you state, disconnect...replace, reconnect...

Open the Bleed screw, Fill tank....run engine, keep the tank topped up until you get a stream of constant water from the bleed screw.....tighten bleed screw....

Allow engine to cool and recheck coolant level!
