Did they lube you up first ??? Fitting is very quick and they are available for I think £245 on e.bay, labour should be no more than 11/2 hours 2 max One day your life will flash before your eyes......................................make sure yours is worth watching!

I asked what the worst case would be - when I go to pick it up I don't intend to be paying £1,000

Well you have 1 air spring leaking, a lot of people change 2, I changed 1 18 months ago and all is fine, looks like you are getting charged a lot for the air springs, why not ask for a quote on labour, buy the springs off e.bay and have em delivered direct to the garage. One day your life will flash before your eyes......................................make sure yours is worth watching!

I would be doing all sorts of clever things normally but with snow and a heavily pregnant wife I'm going for the easiest solution right now even if it costs me am extra £200-300

Fair comment I would just fit one for the time being, is it LR dealer at those prices, cause they may be only charging the right labour but from LR an air spring is prob close to £450, if its an Indy he should have asked if you wanted genuine or oem equivalent, we always do. One day your life will flash before your eyes......................................make sure yours is worth watching!

New Zealand 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Galway Green

I have done both front ones through Island 4x4, where I bought them (they shipped them to Nigeria) and had our mechanics here fit them. Fitting was easy.

Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

Ok ill stop trying to save him about £600 then, bag has a slight leak and car can be driven for a couple of days, any garage can fit the air springs etc but I'll stop trying to help.
Edit: He doesnt have to surf the net the URL's in this thread Whistle One day your life will flash before your eyes......................................make sure yours is worth watching!

Johnny all help is gratefully received and I have already done such things as change the EGR, vortex filter, air filter and battery all from this forum.

However with the weather and state of the missus (other car is rear wheel drive M3, poo in snow) I really just want the rangie back today in working order!

All advice is still gratefully received and when I pick it up (50mins) I'll let you know what I get charged!

Thats great dude, have you got snow yet???? Be interesting to see what they charge you. I hate seeing people ripped off especially as im in the trade and we pride ourselves on being upfront with the customer etc. Hopefully I will sort something out with Martin soon and we may become sponsors on the forum as there dont seem to be any in the SE of the country (Gatwick/Crawley)

M3 might be fun though Whistle One day your life will flash before your eyes......................................make sure yours is worth watching!

JB, there is no doubt you are trying to save Bienbn money and we all appreciate that , but the route he has taken to fix his problem is that he has a very pregnant wife...that clue is in his posts... ... - .- -.
