The gear selector light should go out after about 15 mins - if it doesn't, check that the cap is closed on the OBDC port. |

Just bought a 2003 4.4 V8 Vogue myself with a Land Rover-original battery. I came from a Disco II via an X5 to the ffrr.

I'm using my RR for a long trip next week and the car will be parked up for a week or so as I travel offshore for work. As such I didn't want to get stranded with a flat battery so decided to check for parasitic drains today. It's pretty straight forward to do, in a nutshell here's how to go about it :-
