anyone know the hack for tv on the move ? i have a non touch screen with a genuine hybrid tv tuner , i have seen the hack for touch screen but not the non touch screen  1990 3.5 v8 defender

I'm surprised that Martin allows posts seeking information on fitting illegal changes to any vehicle, not helped by a moderator who seems to actively support such actions.

Many accidents occurred before handheld mobile phones were banned while driving, must we wait for people to be killed because a driver was distracted by watching TV before taking action?

To be fair, klf400 has not stated they are driving on Her Majesty's highway with it on.

For what its worth, you can enable it with Navcoder, as already pointed out, but the system isn't brilliant, and the audio and picture drop in and out on the move. Its not really meant for that I don't think.

Works OK stationary though.

It had TV in motion enabled when I put it in.

I used Navcoder to turn it off.

Don't want any doubt over what may or may not happen with Plod at the side of the road.

"You were watching TV".........."no I wasn't......it won't work on the move".

If it's enabled, irrespective of whether it was on or not, if you get accused, you won't be able to prove otherwise.

Stan, in a previous post you supported a member by suggesting the TV-in-motion was probably for his wife to watch while driving off-road.

I consider this a life or death subject yet your strongest post on the subject put you sitting on the fence, not advising it is not the same as condemning the action outright.

While not wanting to come down harshly on anyone, I will do whatever it needs to get such posts banned and probably get myself banned in the process.

Suppose you want to ban guns, knives and power tools as well if there happens to be a television on nearby. Hell, even a TV in the kitchen is a major distraction if you happen to be frying chips.

I used to have it in the Merc and never once was I tempted to watch TV whilst driving. It's all about taking responsibility for ones own actions and exercising something called self control. You might remember it from the days before we had a gazillion busybodies regulating our lives.

I quite often have BBC Parliament channel on, mainly because I like listening to said busybodies hurl insults at each other. That doesn't mean I watch the screen though, even though I could if I wanted to. The 753 hack is common knowledge across the internet, not just this forum. Going to ban the whole internet are you?

A screen of any kind can be a distraction so perhaps we should all disable the sat-nav as well. Or kids arguing in the back, that's distracting. Or fit Burds in short skirts walking down the street. Guess it all needs banned.

I was amazed at the strength of the reaction from some of the members on this. If you're stupid enough to watch TV when driving the you probably shouldnt be driving.....

However.......

This doesn't mean that you should need the law (or some poor forum moderator) to tell you that you can't have it enabled. It's personal choice and we are all trusted to act responsibly. If I could get a flamin tv that works in my 06 FFRR then I would want it enabled (no digital tuner ). Doesn't mean I would drive and watch it at the same time though.......

If your wife has a book lying in the centre consul are you tempted to pick it up and read it whilst flying down the outside lane of the motorway????? No, I didn't think so....but let's ban books anyway.....just in case.

And I think your comments about the moderator are bang out of order.......people are expressing an opinion which they are perfectly entitled to.....only if they are being abusive or insulting should the moderator step in.
