I all,this is my first post sow I great you all.
"Howcan I get my phone activated or working."

I have a03 Vogue that had a mk3 satnav with phone and voice recognition.
Thephone settings were active but due to no sim card I could not use the phone.
I purchaseda mk4 satnav and installed this unit successfully, but it did not detect myphone. At least did the phone not turn up in mfd meny.
Not beingsure what do to I got hold off an extra sim but that did not alter the situationafter it being inserted to the sim card slot.
Then I dida successfully satnat update to the latest sw4-1/(1)00 (vs 32). The phone didnot turn up in the satnav.

Thevoice recognition does not work anymore either. When i press the phone button on the mfd nothing happens.

Hello and welcome.
Sorry for obvious, but have you tried checking all connections? If you put the mk3 back in does everything work again? Might be worth a try now you have a sim. Previously..

Thx for your superfast reply.

I did change back to the mk3 unit and for some small period i had the telephone option at the screen. The option was not acessable and cleared out after a minute.

Iw cheked the two connections on the simens unit in the back trunk, i guess thats the phone unit right.
Iam not sure where the voice rec unit is, or what other connections to check.
Plz advice me.

The TCU (phone unit) is mounted vertically in the boot with the 54 pin black connector on top.

The voice control module is mounted underneath the sat nav unit.

The phone unit needs power, an earth and an ibus connection to appear on the screen.

Have you checked fuse 22 in the glovebox, as this feeds the phone unit.........

I don't think changing the nav unit should affect it, but could be wrong.

I guess i have an other version of the phone and voice rec, unit.
My phone unit is wihtout the black connecgtion on top. What i have on top is a wire that is screwd and a thin wire that is clipped on. I was not able to get pictures uploaded

I can't see the pictures there as I'm not a registered member, the very small pictures are all I can see.

The voice unit should be under the sat nav. From what I can see from your pic, thats looks like an aerial booster or similar ;

The big 54 pin plug connects to the phone control unit. Without it, you'll have nothing. The other connections are just aerials I think.

To be fair, I don't have those in my car, I have what you have posted as the 2nd pic, and added units from a later BMW to get bluetooth and voice recognition, so I can't use my car to compare to yours.

Perhaps you don't have voice recognition, though if its worked before, the unit must be somewhere..... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Is there a way to flash the phone units or to reactivate them and If there is a wire that is broken, where would this most likely happend? -03V td6

Btw, iw checked earlier and its not the fuse nr 22 or nr 8 that causes this misfunction -03V td6

P38, and 2 L322s
