The TCU (phone unit) is mounted vertically in the boot with the 54 pin black connector on top.

The big 54 pin plug connects to the phone control unit. Without it, you'll have nothing. The other connections are just aerials I think.

The black 54 pin connector goes on the other end of the telephone control module ;
