Certainly worth getting the latest software update for the Mechatronic unit. If the problem still persists I would suspect the delay accumulator piston.

Hi Phil, thanks for the advice. Will first do the software update (Blackbox seems to have the latest update) and see if that resolves the issues.

To put things in perspective. the tiptronic shifts are silky smooth, it is only the full automatic that struggles with the 3-4 shift. The error code says something along the lines of algorithm based problem. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Decode the synthetic algorithm using Google Maps (Africa) then splice the torsion nipple into the ECU re-set function and then.... change the oil again.

I agree that an ECU software update is definitely the way to go. If components wear, or friction characteristics change, differently to the way ZF expected then they can compensate for this in the updated software.

Hi Phil, BBS actually does have some form of agreement with LR to use their software for ECU updates. That is why I can do a software update to the latest available LR ECU software.
