United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Supercharged Supercharged Java Black

Nice car. De-chromed and de-sidestepped it'd be lovely (although I'm not mad on huge wheels).

I used to think that about side steps, then I ended up buying one with them on, and realised how much they stopped the seats and side trim taking a battering every time you got in and out.

Mine stay on for that reason only. 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

My boy is only 11 and he'd do more damage getting in and out if they weren't there!

I checked the transfer box fuse, seems ok! Apparently they have there own ecu that quite commonly fails!!

Aaah I suppose with kids they are a necessity. I took mine off because I'm 6'3" and the misses is 5'9" so we don't really need them.

Just had a thought is the fuse for the transfer box not supposed to be installed for everyday use? I'm getting the jist that it is only installed for towing??

You are right, "that" fuse is only if being towed (puts box in neutral) there are other fuses however that relate to the gearbox ecu and the shift motor. Check handbook for which ones. Transfer Box ecu is tucked away behind the battery. Search the gallery for my "reveal" howto Wink

Next:

Try the manual calibration procedure

Also would be good to get faults read.

Are you only getting "slow down" / "low range" messages on the dash? "off road height" ? Trans Prog Failsafe ?

I've bought a second hand transfer motor today! Hopefully that should sort that out!
