I have tracked down my all comms and pulled this code "Symptom gear monitor fault General fault " from the transmission" |

I hate to tell you but this symptom is the box itself. The box will need to overhauled/repaired £1000 or replaced £2000.

Thanks for the reply. When i drove the truck this morning, it worked fine until i got almost to work (about a 20 minute drive). Could the trans be running too hot from a clogged raditor or may airlock in the collong system? |

Yes it is almost certainly caused by overheating due to Oil Cooler not working correctly due to a clogged lower section (lowest eight rows) of the main radiator. VERY common issue.

Thanks once again. is there an easy way to determine if the lower portion of the radiator is clogged without removing the radiator? Or is there a way to see if the trans cooler is actually working properly? |

Yes the speed that that the radiator drains 1 litre fluid for from the drain/release plug can be timed to see if its blocked or not. You will have to search for correct times (Google or maybe on here) |
