Hi All,

I joined a few days ago in the hope to get honest feedback from the right people about the FFRR before going out and buying my dream vehicle. Great forum BTW, I'm trying to search for answers to my possibly simple questions before repeating other folks.

I'm hoping (in my head at the moment) to purchase at some uncertain time in the near future a SC FFRR or a 4.4 petrol. I lucky in the fact that I only have to drive 30 miles a month to and from work, but I suppose this can be as bad!!

I'm actually a mechanic by trade, but went to the darkside (management) some 10 odd years ago, so have a reasonable understanding and logic, but have lost the will to lie under a dripping wet vehicle!

Cheers,

Martin. Cool

United Kingdom 2009 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Santorini Black

Hi, thought it was about time I joined up to the forum. I've been reading all the various topics over the last few months.

Last saturday I picked up a facelift model 2009 Vogue in Black with black interior. It's got the 'style 17' 20" wheels which I haven't seen too many with...

So far all is going well but just thinking aloud I have a few isues / upgrades that Im going to need to search for the answers too.

1. Smart key battery is low - is this as simple as replacing the battery or is it a dealer job to re-flash the keys programming?

2. The steering wheel is ever so slightly off centre on the straight ahead.

3. Passenger wing mirror is a bit sticky when folding (on locking / unlocking)

4. It came with the tow bar sub-frame and 12 pin sockets, but no tow bar... the dealer says the previous owner used it for a bike rack. Do land rover make a bike rack that slots directly into the square hole, so not needing an actual tow ball.

5. Mine doesn't have the horizontal alluminium trim on the lower front bumper, nor the ally fog light surrounds. Are these easy to fit myself? and are there any places to buy them that are cheaper than main dealers?

6. I need to find a nice Range Rover keyring.

7. I need to research the IIDTool. I understand that for my model year its still in development.

8. I have 2 half day experience vouchers, what are the best venues to go to?

Other than all that I look forward to joining in on some of the discussions on here.

Cheers
Lee

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Java Black

Hi everyone.

I am new to the forum and have now had my FFRR for 1 week. I have come here from SELOC having owned a Lotus Exige S previously (a bit of a change I know)

Anyway car is a Java Black 2007 TDV8 Vogue with a bunch of extra bits, obligatory pics below.

I must also thank the amazing Wiggs who was brilliant in sorting out my Bluetooth problems with not one but 2 modules within a 3 day period as we had problems with the first. Absolutely first class service thank you sir. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up
