I am just about to start fitting a new set of 2012 led rear taillights to my 05 vogue, I saw an excellent guide somewhere in the past few weeks but can't find it again, so what problems are ahead of me, I have 2 ballist resistors at the ready for a "quick flashing indicators" problem should I need them, also going tomorrow to order 4 of the black mounting dock/plugs for the new mounting pins, I believe after a bit of digging that I might have fog light issues as well as dash warnings still to address, has anyone done this upgrade and easily got around all the issues if you could throw in your views/experiences I would much appreciate any tips before I remove my sc lights, as once they come out they are being sold and can't go back in and can't drive about with doggy rear light till I get stopped! Thanks in advance! |

Thanks, I think that's it. I maybe getting it confused with a topic I saw which had part numbers and a bit more fitting details, but that could have been about the 2012 front end conversion.... Which is next on my to do list! |

Seen a 'box of tricks' advertised on Fleabay, which when I contacted seller, he assured me they were designed for the later cars. I think they were Ł125 for a pair but don't quote me.

So I went for a trail fit of the taillights tonight, plugged them in without the resistor just out of curiosity and everything works the way it should, the indicators flashed normal speed and nothing came up on the dash warning of errors or bulbs out, no disco lights on startup, break lights work.... only issue is the fog light is on all the time, any hints on how to fix this?? i need my rear fog lights and don't want to "just cut the wire to it" as i saw, as a fix somewhere!! |
