England 2003 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Zambezi Silver

Hi all

Lee here, North Staffs. Interested in RR's I have a Landrover fetish for a number of years. I have a little diary web site of some of my antics here

http://www.lrproject.com

I currently run a 2003 Vogue TD6 in Silver, I have a 110 CSW also 1990 TD which is for play and project. Run about is a Laguna which the Mrs generally uses.

I'm interested in home repairs as I really have to make my RR last for ever! Very Happy Other interests aside from a growing family, amateur radio and playing BF2 on PC.

Nice to find this site!

United Kingdom 2004 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Zermatt Silver
New to the forum!

New to this forum,

Had the afternoon off and found this forum.

I have a 2004 TD6 Vogue. 106000miles. It has broken a couple of times:-

5 gearboxes, 4 under warranty

7 Front Diffs, all under warranty

2 Turbo's, under warranty

2 rear props, under warranty

1 transfer box, ender warranty

1 rear diff, under warranty

Not bad for 106000 miles. It has had a re-chip to 250bhp. The mission is to top 200000 miles without bankrupting me!

Why so many failures? Could it be the Re-chip?

Hi,

I have not got my Range Rover yet and perhaps not for a little while as i have just purchased a 2 yr old Disco. I have always loved the RR since it came out in 2002 and did plan to buy a 4.4 V8 but seeing the prices spiral upwards after the snow and the limited un-pimped examples about, I decided to get the little brother instead Very Happy

...great site! Thumbs Up 2007 LR Discovery 3 TDV6 XS Stornoway grey

Hello everyone

I have been a Range Rover owner for 6 years now - I can't justify my behavior or actions and I have been trying to overcome the voices in my head that tell me to do these foolish things . . .

. . . and then I find this site!

Big Cry

WHAT DO I DO NOW?

You forgot about taking about 30 pictures of the RR a week just in case you sell it one day. Even sneeky ones on the Blackberry when picking the kids up as it looks good in the middle of a car park Laughing

After further investigation -

Bow down Indeed, you are correct...

...this differs from the information given to me recently from my local ATS Euromaster Tyre & MOT Centre where I went to get its 1st MOT - After they stitched me for full whack retail on a pair of Conti's, he (MOT tester) then further explained that they could not actually test the vehicle because of its weight? - insisting that I had to go to a Class 7 test centre as it was over 3 tonnes - he pointed at the sticker under bonnet as proof - 3200kg (not 3.3 as I mentioned earlier) - this, as it turns out, is the gross vehicle weight.

It did puzzle me why it would weigh so much more than my previous TD6.

I did not bother to question this motortrade professional (t Censored t) and continued on my way to a Class7 test centre as suggested - the weight issue was not questioned here either.

I have just checked my MOT certificate and it is correctly marked as IV (Class 4) so no real harm done.

Thank you for the knowledge RRUK

Bless you Gazellio - You have the voices aswell!

I have not progressed to picture porn yet - but I will confess to repeatedly driving past a certain office block with the Dallas style mirrorred glass and seeing her reflection occasionally - there ... I said it! Shocked

Is there a cure that you know of?
