Hi, I have an 07 MY Vogue SE TDV8, and i'm totally loving it, what a gr8 car. We also have a Discovery 3, (the wifes car). In the 3 months i've had my FFRR, I've had 1 issue. the SATNAV just stopped working, so to cut a long story short, the aerial was eventually swapped for a new one, and all is now 100% again. Of all the cars i've owned over the years, i've never once had any SATNAV issues, ...... very strange indeed, but all is now resolved and i'm loving it. Thanks to all for a gr8 forum.

Hi, I went through exactly the same process that you're going through, I thoroughly investigated and test drove each of those cars, including the Merc GL, and in the end the FFRR was by far the best option, overall. The newer 2007MY with a TDV8 was the best option. The only thing that is annoting for me, is the dated technology. Don't get me wrong, it is all actually very good, works well, and quite advanced in a way, but I guess I need the 2010 model to satisfy all my desires.....but then thats just a bit out of my price range
Good luck.

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE Supercharged Buckingham Blue

Hi all Very Happy

I've just bought a 2007 Supercharged - gorgeous car, pics will follow soon Smile

So... Before I pick the FF up what do I need to ensure the garage has done to make sure everything is as up to date as possible? Wife and I use iPhones so would be good to know if they're fully supported or need a s/w upgrade on the RR's system first.

What's the best iPod system out there? Can use the Aux in but would prefer something discreet and plumbed in for best quality sound with track selection off screen.

Can't wait to pick it up!!!

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Java Black

Hi there - just picked up an 07 Vogue SE and love it so far - great cruiser

Dubbs - not sure if there's a fully plumbed in solution - the closest I have found so far replaces the CD player and from what I can see isn't that user friendly anyway (limited display on the screen and you can only scroll through playlists) That said I've only just started so perhaps there's a better way...

Best I have found is a griffin autopilot. This neatly plugs into the lighter socket in the centre (just behind the cup holders, not 'in' the armrest) with the cables/ipod neatly tucked away (in the armrest bit). This gives some limited control of the Ipod through the buttons on the top of the bit that goes into the lighter socket.

http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/autopilot

All in all a pretty good solution for about £25.

United Kingdom 2004 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Stornoway Grey

Hi there,

Just thought I'd say hello - I took the plunge and bought a 2004 4.4 V8 Vogue a couple of weeks ago with 59000 miles on the clock and full main dealer service history. First modification was to fit my fullfatrr.com stickers! Very Happy

I have now ditched the side steps and am in the throws of removing the nasty rubbing strips. Have a slight leak from the radiator but apart from that I'm well chuffed with it. I've come from a chipped Focus ST so am used to horrendous fuel consumption!

I also own a 1975 V8 Lightweight soft-top landy which is undergoing a full re-build so this is at completely the other end of the Land Rover spectrum...

I've already found this forum extremely useful, so many thanks to all that have contributed.

Cheers,
Steve.

Did you change the front mud guards after removing the steps?

Yep, I bought a set of genuine front mudflaps - they just about cover the holes left by the genuine LR side step / mudflap set-up. The hardest part was getting the old side steps off - extremely rusty fixings after 6 years on the car...

Howdy, Just agreed to buy a 06 TD6 Vogue in Cairns Blue, been a member of Disco3 for the last 3+ years and I traded my
D3 for a BMW 730 6 months ago. Hadn't realised how much I missed the LR brand until I took the 7 for a service recently and saw the RR....... picking it up next week.
