Tell them to stuff the tyres you'll sort em yourself and save half the price!

Dealers are stealers with tyres most of the time as they dont churn over enough to get a good discount on them... FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Landrover Experience

Went to Solihull on an experience day hours of getting muddy in a 110, Disco 4 and A Full Fat descending a 45 degree slope in a two and a half tonne FF in the wet awesome. Bit expensive for a day out but got to see loads of new RangeRovers had mine parked at the side of one for comparison but they said no photos Big Cry
Instructor says they are making over 1100 vehicles a day but only got room on dispatch carpark for 1000 so staff have to park off site at airport and be bused in Sports and Disco make up 800 of that! Thats a vehicle every 80 seconds!
Whistle Mine was a blue one! Smile

Fitted a new battery. Bosch one. It is a fiddley getting it to sit properly and bloody heavy lifting it in to position.

We had our first proper icy frost yesterday morning so decided to get it done before the real winter starts.

Got the battery from Europarts with the 25% discount, so just under £100 delivered to the highlands. Not too bad.

Amazing that you can drive down a 45 degree slope on a wet surface, I wouldn't want to walk down that, let alone drive a 2.5 tonne car down to the bottom. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

According to the instructor cars are off the line stock with road tyres (the tyres didn't look aggressive except on the 110) The FF's, Sports, Freeloaders and Freeloaders in drag all have front skid plates to save the bumper/front end but I never felt it ground out despite some pretty big obsticals. All vehicles do the same course including a very deep water drive only the 110 leaked Whistle Mine was a blue one! Smile

Another trip to the tip to get rid of all the old MGB bits I have been hoarding for decades: 2 x complete front suspension units, 1 x rear axle, 2 x propshafts, 1 x steering rack, loads of trim, steering column, heater, radiator, plus old discs from front and rear of FFRR. My FFRR just swallowed it all up, with room for plenty more if son and I hadn't run out of puff. .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember Wink

Quite a lot, starting with, gearbox oil change, T box oil change, diffs oil change (all with LR oil), overall thorough check, painted the brake calipers and exhaust satin black...

I then replace all the clips on the A pillars trim and replace the windshield lower plastic trim afer painting the wipers satin black.

Oh, and I fiited a damped opening lower tailgate kit bought from Dan, using metal inserts, not simply drilling the tailgate and screwing a couple of M6s: lovely (cheap) add on. Thumbs Up l=Oo\________/oO=l l:OolΞΞΞΞΞΞΞloO:l
