Add whatever you want to a vehicle but, IMHO, if you try and pretend it's a more powerful, recognised badgeing tuner/upgrade specialist or higher interior spec then you are just sad.

I just laugh when I see obvious fake SC's (and laugh really hard when they spew diesel smoke and wear supercharged badges). Why do it? It just DE-VALUES the brand, makes people think that SC's spew smoke and sound like tractors! Land Rover Addict

only the ones that adorn them with cheap looking tat and make a damn good car look like ex halfords rubbish. Thats my opinion, and you are also entitled to yours Thumbs Up[/quote]

I get what you meant just think your comments were a bit unnecessary . OK you dont like Overfinch fair enough but to say you look down on people, i dont get the need but as you say we all have our own opinions of what is right and what is wrong but i just think you were being rude and sounded very pompous when i am sure you are not like that really!?!? Thumbs Up

Oh and DMRR i agree with you, i personally would not badge something up as something it is not. As you say a supercharged sounds nothing like an oil burner, if it does it needs to go to the garage Very Happy L405 4.4 SDV8 Santorini/Black VSE

Oooh...I love a good debate! Whistle

As per my previous posts, I'm really not a big fan of sticking bits and bobs on cars that are stuck on with the intention of making the car look like something it's not. And I find that even more strange when the original car is something as already brilliant as a Range Rover...even a 'lowly' Vogue SE is a fantastic bit of kit...can't see why you'd feel the need to.

I've colour coded my grill, side vents, mirrors covers and even de tango'd the orange reflectors in my headlights for example, but none of that makes it look like anything other than the Supercharged that it is.

But for me a 'proper' (and who knows what I mean by that!) Overfinch is a fantastic looking beast, albeit that nowadays the 'show' doesn't neccessarily match the 'go'.

For me they're just the right side of footballer (dare I say it...I still think they look classy) and look purposeful and have real style. I certainly wouldn't have any problem in bombing around in this for example.... Bow down

bloody hell... its all getting a bit bitchy again Whistle
i have a standard 2011 tdv8 vogue just with autobiography front grill and sidevents, which were factory fit, but in my eyes " you pays yer money and gets what yer want "
what looks good in one persons eyes may not in anothers Sad
what does it really matter if someone wants to put different badges on their car
its their car they can do what they want with it
i wouldn't do it because it's not my thing but if i wanted to, i would, and wouldn't expect other people, especially on enthusiasts forums, to critise.
there, thats my pennysworth and hopefully an end to this pointless thread Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Just a word of caution, the vast majority of Overfinch badges for sale on eBay are counterfeit products.

Overfinch have very strict brand guidelines on which vehicles we supply and fit our oval grille badges and bonnet/tailgate lettering sets to.

As a minimum requirement, a vehicle must have a set of genuine Overfinch wheels and our complete bodystyling package in order to qualify for the exterior branding.

If anyone has any queries, please contact Jordan.sloane@overfinch.com

Regards

Jordan

I agree with the M boot badges on non-M cars, that really is sad taste and tells you a lot about the owner! Whistle

So how about this.....

I had a Merc CLS 320CDi and I asked the dealer before I bought it to install the Brabus chip to increase BHP. When I collected the car, in the boot was the box that the chip came in and in the box was a chrome plastic BRABUS badge to stick on the boot. I never did stick it on because in my view, my car was not a Brabus, however, if it was supplied with the chip, was it meant to go on? Current MY2020
