I don't think they don't want to replace it, i was told Land Rover were cought napping, not expecting the LR3+4 to sell well worldwide... So now there's no replacement due/designed inline with the new FF and SS

D3 was introduced eight years ago, it has sold well since unless I'm reading the wrong numbers.

Companies like Land Rover don't get caught napping (hence why they're currently inventing new niches to fill with LWB Range Rovers, seven-seat Sports, DC100, Evoque XL and so on).

I'm still in the process of digesting... Whistle

As someone mentioned here before, is it just a few of us that thinks that it looks a bit to long and/or big? Maybe it's the pictures but it seems way bigger than the L322.

Overall, think it looks quite nice .... Really not digging the rear lights though ... Square rings for the rear LEDs? One of the most recognisable features of the rr is the round rears V8 or else ...

Well the square ones are more distinctive and the Classic had square box lights on the back.

I wonder how much longer it is, it is bad enough parking the L322 in London where it overlaps some of the parking bays by a couple of cm at the moment. Any longer and you will automatically get ticketed for using two bays. Tom

Possibly. However, bear in mind someone at Gaydon is already working on its facelift 2015 (all manufacturers do right after vehicle launch) l=Oo\________/oO=l l:OolΞΞΞΞΞΞΞloO:l

The sideways facing parking sensor is usually to measure the length of a space as you drive past it, so the car knows how much space it has to park itself and if it'll fit.
Common VW tech and fitted to a lot of their cars now as a £400 extra, which also gives you front sensors.
Usually called Park Assist or something similar.

I hope they do put the price of this up, because with prices in the £60k's for the old model it was too cheap.
The problem with a poverty spec one around £70k is you will see loads of them on the road in five years and they won't be exclusive. Like the current model which has become common.

I'd like to see a starting price around £80k, with a better RRS (based on this platform) due soon filling the gap underneath it in the Range Rover range. Basically the Range Rover is a huge succes and selling well, so they need to push it up in price and ability/luxury as it's supposed to be the flagship 4x4 on the planet, not a common sight on the road.

The next RRS will be a good car and a good choice for those that can't justify the price of the new Range Rover.
Finally it will be free of being a rebadged and less practical Disco.

An L322 is near enough the same size as a 5 Series in terms of space it takes up on the road.

United Kingdom 2014 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Firenze Red

I have just passed one driving into Hampton-in-Arden just out of Solihull. It definately has road presence. It was going the opposite way so I didn't get too long oggling it, but two things struck me, the size and presence of the thing and the square 'driving-lights' on the front. The raked front end looked good in the flesh and from what stood out on the rear from my mirrors as it passed, was a kind of titanium/silver strip on the rear... oh and the square lights (i think). Easily recognisable as a FFRR.

It was over in a flash but I was left with a clear feeling that this car has prestige and presence oozing from it. Looked really great. Cool
