France 2013 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Causeway Grey

Yes true the side strips look awful on dark colours, on grey it's kind of ok as you don't see them that much.
I think the nicest colour is Orkney grey with the body coloured fake vents and the Dark Atlas option for the side strips, like this it looks like they are body coloured.

I see there is an option for a slightly darker 'gypsy stripe'

Accents Pack 4 changes the front and rear bumper accents, front door and fender accents and front bumper outboard blades from Atlas to Dark Atlas, plus the upper mirror scalp from body coloured to Dark Atlas. The side vents remain body coloured
."

So £600 but you also lose the body colour on the mirrors and bumper vents (not clear from that but they and the door handles appear to be body-colour on the Vogue, but not SE and Autobiography).

I suppose the stripe is an attempt to break up the bulk (like the silly vents) but I'd like to see one all in body-colour.

4k Option on all models for the big Merdian Hi-Fi

I have the 825w Meridian surround sound system in my Evoque and it doesn't cost anywhere near that much, it is fantastic and makes the HK Logic 7 seem very ordinary, but it isn't worth £4k extra! 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

825w standard on AB and VSE.

1700w 29 speaker is the optional £4k extra.

I have just seen that on the website, the 825w is pretty powerful and certainly more than
capable of blasting out passengers in cars around you. 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

I priced up the car I'd want. £82k V6 SE with a few extras.
Have to say I was suprised the Vogue no longer has a heated steering wheel or park heating.

Yep would have thought so! The 1700w is overkill IMO, as is an £8,000 LR paint job!

Indeed only AB gets park heating as standard. £1,000 option for a software activation brings it in line with RRS and D4.

Interestingly a full spec SDV8 Vogue costs more than an SDV8 Autobiography!

If the way LR does the 405 sales is like the way they do Evoque, then all we will see for the first 4-5 months will be high spec cars, the cars that make them the most money, and then the lower spec cars will trickle into production. There are Evoque owners who have had eD4's (the 2WD version) on order for 9-10 months and still waiting, yet those who order full spec cars get them in 3-4 months. 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

Hmm I read it that it'd still have the heated steering wheel - but the battery killing pre-heater thingy was extra.

Heated steering wheel is standard on all three models - the extra cost is for the wood bits the Autobiography gets (so that it looks like one of those steering wheel covers you buy for your import Pajero at the Sunday market).

Remote pre heat was not the thing killing the battery , there was a recall on the 11+ my cars that replaced a voltage regulator and at the same time they reduced timed climate to 17 mins i think it was , but mine still did the same and i was not using timed climate, once battery was changed for the gel battery hey presto no issues. Far to many gone...
