Why was my post deleted?

Because I called out that something a 'site supporter' said as a statement of fact just plain wasn't? 2003 Vogue TD6/1992 Classic 300TDi/2x 1991 Golf GTI/1966 Volkswagen Kombi/2x 1968 Volkswagen Kombi/Probably something I've forgotten...

Might the site supporter have simply been mistaken? Most of us can write things from time to time and then correct ourselves the next day. 2003 4.4 HSE Epsom Green / Sand. Lovely!

Given the product they sell is snake oil at best, I suspect they were well aware of their 'misdirection'. 2003 Vogue TD6/1992 Classic 300TDi/2x 1991 Golf GTI/1966 Volkswagen Kombi/2x 1968 Volkswagen Kombi/Probably something I've forgotten...

quote from my post,

the previous thread was deleted due to it turning into a bickering match and not constructive criticism or positives about the product ....

any more posts in that tone will be dually and delightfully deleted again..

Hi Stan,
I read the oil additive post as well and thought to myself; why is Stan being so protective on the OP?
As a newbie on this forum I don’t claim to know it all.
The only thing I would say is that if the product was as good as suggested, why is it not available from the oil companies?
If it is too good to be trough, it usually is.
Just my personal opinion on the issue.

I didn't think I was overly rude - the snake oil merchant was guilty of deliberate misdirection. I stated he was wrong and explained why.
Regarding your second point, you are of course correct. But I'd like to help others not buy it, too. 2003 Vogue TD6/1992 Classic 300TDi/2x 1991 Golf GTI/1966 Volkswagen Kombi/2x 1968 Volkswagen Kombi/Probably something I've forgotten...

i like to give products/members the benefit of the doubt and personally if i want to buy the product then i will , if i dont then i wont ...... but when members start challenging something they particularly dont like and start calling members liers , [be they site sponsors or not..] then that's when i put my mod hat on and do what i think is best for the forum...

@misteralz, you've made your point so now can we leave it for members to decide on their own if they want to buy or not.. ... - .- -.

To be fair (as the bloke at started it all) I feel a bit sorry for the chap.

Perhaps it's time to let him have his sales thread. Some people will always buy the emporer's new clothes anyway. Anyone else can use google and suss out really how good any such product is likely to be. If he's contributing a few quid to help affect the running costs of the site, he's actually doing us all a favour really.

At the end of the day as Stan says, if people want to pour magic juice in their engines, let them.... I always ask when I buy a car if they've ever put slick 50 or any other crap in it, and walk away if they have.

I reckon we've turned out to be a bit of a tougher crowd than the Disco-nancy-boys... It doesn't look like its exactly flying off the shelves on this forum...
