I think it's safer to use this thread in Off Topic than to further mess up the bloke's sales thread. Plus, I've got a feeling he's not bothering contributing much to the forum other than his oil...

I do think it's worth leaving him alone now - he's not got the knowledge of oils or engineering to answer any of our questions and I'm sure there is enough on the sales thread now to put off just about everyone who doesn't believe in fairies. Those that do, and can afford £30 for a cupful of paraffin can happily buy off him and convince themselves their engine is now running smoother than a turbine.

There is plenty of information on the web about additives, in all their many and glorious forms - so I am sure even the most deluded person can suss out that it's all smoke and mirrors. The important thing to remember, it's not Hess's smoke and mirrors, he's just regurgitating what the cleverer people further up his pyramid have told him. He's trying to make a couple of bob, and it looks like the Disco-drivers are happy to throw their money at him...

In fact, if you looked at the whole thing as a large social experiment it would show that Disco owners are unsatisfied with the smoothness and sound of their vehicles, whereas FF drivers are happy with theirs....

I disagree. He's selling snake oil, making wild claims with absolutely no scientific basis and his product has had no proper industry testing and has no proper certification. When I called him out as a deleted - which he is - I was prepared to back up my statement with cold, hard facts. Now he's threatening me with libel.
