I'm with you on this, but getting abusive towards him won't help as Stan will just delete the entire thread again. You have to be nice and just state facts otherwise, what is - up to now - a thread showing that his product is a waste will disappear again. |

And where is all your proof Simes? How do you know my product is a waste? You just lecture about a product you've never used, have no experience with, never heard of until I posted it here, but you agree with misteralz, that I am a liar. You're very quick to generalise everything. How do you know there is no difference between TSL and the other additives? What do you base your facts on? Just because you read on the internet that there are companies that sell additives, automatically this falls in that category too? You say anyone can look up additives on the web and suss for themselves it's all smoke and mirrors? Whatever engine oil you actually buy yourself Simes, has got additives in it also. Without additives it would just be base oil. The additives are the ones that determine the price of it. As for the API certification, TSL doesn't have it nor could it ever get it. This is because it is an additive, not an engine oil. Glad misteralz did his research on that, just as I've done mine. And what happened to innocent until proven guilty? Where do you have a single verifiable report, statement, test or official document that TSL doesn't work? |

I came accross TSL on another forum I am a memeber of back in October 2011. The conclusion of that forum was that a majority of the users felt it was not a product for them. However amongst some of the discussion on the forum the following article was refered to :-

Hiya Simes
So are we Disco owners somehow beneath all FFRR owners in your eyes As someone with some really serious understanding of the technology implimented in all years and models of Land Rover, feel free to checkh out my credentials, and indeed as the owner of both a Disco 3, P38 and L322 Range Rover i can tell you with absolute and utter certainty that the FFRR is truly the poorest and most needy example of them all. Maybe in your Large social experiment example, you should consider to factor in that Disco owners are more working class, and own their vehicle far more for purporse and capability than for show, and so feel the need to look after there vehicles and engines better than prestigious FFRR owners do. BTW my D3 2.7 TD engine is possibly the best engine i have ever owned, it starts perfectly and has sweetest sound i have ever heard. MY 4.4 Petrol FFRR however starts up and sounds like an utter bag of bolts and i really am willing to try anything that might possibly provide some degree of protection for it. However I ain't easily sold on anything, especially outragous sounding promises, but i am well capable of seeing through any amont of hype, respectfully questioning a supplier, doing my own research and generally making my own personal assesments of the benefits any given product. 2003 4.4 HSE |

Hi Hess, I have sent you a PM with the full details of the article I quoted from. It is probably fair to point out that it was a forum member who was using TSL that statrted the discussion I refered to and they were happy with the product. I think the debate on use of after market oil additives is similar to the LPG or Bio Diesel debate, there are those that will 'experiment' and those that will always be against you 56 TDV8 Vogue SE 9 Freelanders, 2x 2002 TD4ES, 2001 TD4, 2002 1.8GS, 2000 XEDI, 2x 2000 1.8ES, 2004 1.8 & 2000 1.8 GS (rolled) 91 Lotus Carlton (sold) 90 Lotus Elan (BRG) Last edited by Andy_J on 10th Aug 2012 8:15pm. I think that this has been tried before and it degenerated into a bit of a slangging match that got deleted. I would prefer not to end up in that position. It was an international forum and the discussion was started by a chap from Denmark who was using TSL. 56 TDV8 Vogue SE 9 Freelanders, 2x 2002 TD4ES, 2001 TD4, 2002 1.8GS, 2000 XEDI, 2x 2000 1.8ES, 2004 1.8 & 2000 1.8 GS (rolled) 91 Lotus Carlton (sold) 90 Lotus Elan (BRG) |
