Offroad display ... thing that shows you wheel position etc, also the only way on touch screen to see easily the 'mode' as motorway has no indicator. Check the 'MANUAL' and it will show the mode in their screenshot. It does not occur, EVER. Land Rover Addict

I will need to check, but i think my motorway lowering activates at around 65mph.

The later facelifted FF drop at 100mph which is next to useless, oh and the rear wiper stays on if activated instead of delayed sweep. Shocked

If you turn on the rear wiper then imediately off again, then wait the desired amount of time, then switch on and it will work at that delay period...

ie, switch on-off-on and the rear wiper will run constantly
switch on-off-wait 10secs-on wiper will run with a ten second delayed sweep

and so on...

This is what i am talking about. It doesn't say that the control indicates a drop in height just that it does it. I would like to adjust the speed that it activates the m/way height to say 65mph

where did you get this info from Craig? my face lift 2005 model lowered and my current TDV8 does it as well.

just curious to know if mine is different from other peoples??

earlier cars used to lower at a sensible motorway sort of speed, the newer ones are set at 100mph for some crazy reason. Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

Stu, as far as im aware when the Facelift happened that function was removed hence the light disappearing from the dash... Pre facelift cars lower at 65mph

Craig..i've never had a light on my dash, was that in the pre facelift models?

on my 2005 if you go to the suspension display on the touch screen, when you pass the magic speed... Twisted Evil the display changes to lowering and drops the car by how ever many mm it was.

only saying what my cars do. Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

Pre facelift cars have an extra light with a motorway sign. The light that states your car is in "normal height" would go out and the motorway light (your operating light on the left) would come on when the car had lowered itself 25mm... You could also lock it in motorway mode on pre facelift cars...

I want!

I have a 2008 TDV8 Vogue with a 2010 front/rear conversion.

If I buy the IIDTool for my 2008 will it have the menu option for DRL's as I have the later LED headlights? Want to turn this feature on but unsure if it's going to work and don't want to fork out if it wont.

Also how much are these from Britpart as well?

Thanks,

T RR Vogue 2008 w/ 2010 Conversion

The DRL setttings on the IIDTool will bring on the main beam bulbs at varying %age on your original headlights.

Maybe Steve or Patrick from Gap can confirm what difference the LED headlights will make.

No idea what the current price is.

Don't see why it would not do it. On my 2005 with IID tool it can be set for main beams (% variable) and also headlights. The wiring to the new lights would just control the same things as the old one, the only difference is the LED sidelights, but they take the control form the sidelights on the older lights so as long as you have resistors it should not make a difference.

I got mine from LR parts worked out at about £231 + VAT Tom

Be warned that if you use main beams at 60% in Yorkshire you get a lot of people pulling behind you and flashing their main beams trying to tell you that you're main beams are on. This is obviously solved by letting them overtake and then turning your main beams on properly, optionally (and depending on how agressive they have been) follow them with your main beams on for 20 miles or so Thumbs Up
