Patrick very kindly supplied me with a new code when I swapped cars recently.

I chose not to mention it incase it was just a "one off", but it seems not, so they're a thouroughly decent bunch of chaps!! Thumbs Up Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

I have just activated my IID tool. Before I start using it, how do I check the firmware version, and how should I update it. I cannot find anything on the "My GAP" tab on the website which looks like a download. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Stan - that's weird - I posted the question from my computer at home, got to work and now I can see the latest updates tag - must be my home PC that's being awkward! I'll have another go later.

It takes GAP a little while to update their database after you've completed your registration/activation. It caught me out as well.

I've been using my IID successfully except that when I try to clear fault codes from "All ECU" the fault codes tick by but at the end it always says "Update Failed" - does this mean the faults have not cleared, and if so, what is the reason for this?

Can someone from GAP please get back to me to let me know what to do?

Hi Guys

"I've been using my IID successfully except that when I try to clear fault codes from "All ECU" the fault codes tick by but at the end it always says "Update Failed" - does this mean the faults have not cleared, and if so, what is the reason for this?"

The number you see is the actual number of ECU's on which faults were cleared and not how many faults were cleared. “Update Failed”: What happens is that one or more ECU's faults were not cleared. First:

-Is your IIDTool firmware up to date? (V2.17)
-Fault clearing must be done with the engine off on some ECU's. Using the clear all function with the engine running may cause this.

“see on here the other day someone was looking for the hot monitoring in the menu, i to could not see it in my menu, the cold was there.. any idea's”

It actually depends on your LCM ECU hardware version. If your ECU is the second and latest version, it will allow you to turn hot and cold monitoring ON or OFF. If it’s the first version, only the cold monitoring is configurable.

Cheers!

Hi, i have posted this on the Q&A thread also, but i thought i may aswell try here also.

I have Just bought one of these well regarded items, but im having trouble with the ccf part of it. I have a 2005 td6 facelift with the touchscreen. But when i select ccf it says ccf read fail. And im not able to save the config file either.

I have tried with the engine running ond just with the ignition on, it scans all 22 ecus ok. im not sure what is going wrong. Truth be told, this was the main reason i bought the item, so i could change the settings around.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards, Luke
