sorry all if this has been asked before but when i park my l322 next to my brothers his seems to be sat higher than mine is it just a case of getting the suspention recalibrated

When I fitted new airsprings to the front of my FFRR these sat higher than the old ones, but didn't set off any fault codes from the sensors .

When I picked mine up, I noted it was sitting lower and the ride not so supple....

I took it to the local Stealer, and they recalibrated it for me....

Previous measurement was (from bottom of wheel rim to centre of wheel arch) 680-690mm

Corrected Measurement following LR Recalibration 750mm.

Note I only measured the Front Wheels...

waiting for brother to come round next i think his is on 19s and mine are 20s ONE LIFE LIVE IT

After doing my Rover All Comms recalibration I appear to be @ 800mm all round (on 20" rims). Is there a standard measurement we can verify against? .

Someone correct me if I'm wrong . But diameter of tyres should be the same for 18-19-20" rims so ride height would be the same regardless of rim size

My Calibration was carried out by Land Rover....I run on 19" rims with 255/50R19 boots....

The measurement for the Front Axle measured from the lowest edge of the wheel rim to the centre of the wheel arch is 750mm.

The RAC calibration raises the car to a set point height built into the ECU, this is the Datum point...you then measure the height of the wheel arch to wheel rim lowest point and input this into the Calibration software....you then select 'Get Heights' this stores the digitally measured value from the sensors into the ECU at that calibrated height...the ECU then extrapolates the correct ride heights based on this 'Datum'.....

This method means regardless of which rims you run, the vehicle will always be the same height from the ground. 

chaps i measured from centre of wheel to the wheel arch and got 490mm all round this just dont seem right.

OK, so if you read the references above once more I think you should be measuring to the BOTTOM of the wheel rim, not the centre. This would add about half a wheel diameter, so 9.5" (about 240mm) to your 490mm, thus giving you 730mm.

But, this method sounds flawed to me. If you have an 18" rim against a 22" rim there will be a full 4" less in the diameter, or 2" in the radius, thus making the reference measurement to the bottom of the rim a full 2" (52mm) more on the larger rim. Or am I missing something??

No you're not missing anything, you are right, the wheel rim dia will mean the wheel arch to the bottom of the rim measurement will vary according to which wheel is fitted.
The dimension from the road surface to the wheel arch should however be the same despite different wheel sizes give or take a small amount for the way the tyre sits on the road.
I've got 18in wheels and the arch to rim bottom dimension is 750mm all round.
