Increasing the range of the key fob remote

Its strange you know, on my L322 , I could walk to the end of my driveway and be able to unlock and lock the car. Now with my 07tdv8 I have to stand within 6 feet of the car otherwise I won't be able to unlock or lock it.
The key fob I'm using is only 7 months old too.

Any ideas?
Thumbs Up

I assume there is no issue with the receiver ariel (it piggy backs on the heated rear window wires which are also used by the RDS radio if I remember correctly ). Mine has a ridiculous range - easily 300ft with a clear view of the car. Is the keyfob charging OK , have you tried your other key? Steve

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Stornoway Grey

I have the same problem with my 2006 - right pain. But I would suspect it's something to do with the car rather than the fob - I only had one fob, so got another one made by LR and it's the same (will only work if you're up close to the car). Mind you the Top Gear way does work, but still only while you're near the car - sometimes place the key on my hand - not my head! - and that works.....managed to dodge the funny stares lol

IF you do find a fix please let me know - it is annoying!!
