Hi all, the gauge on my vogue after filling up keeps going from full to empty with low fuel warning light on and stays like that for a while then back to full and then back empty ? Any ideas ? Cheers Current tdv8 range vogue 07

Try a a battery disconnect procedure? .

You should only really need to disconnect the earth connection, but give it 10 - 20 minutes once off to allow all the systems to completely shut down, before reconnecting. Try to put the clamp back on in one swift movement to avoid connect / disconnect /connect etc. .

After reconnecting the terminal I still have reset the steering turning full lock left to right ? Current tdv8 range vogue 07

any battery dis-connection needs this, takes seconds to do... ... - .- -.

as tim [joe90] says above re the neg terminal but again only a few seconds to take the positive terminal off....it'll be good practice for when you have to replace the battery..  ... - .- -.

The correct procedure is to switch the vehicle off and wait 20 minutes, then disconnect the negative lead, then disconnect the positive lead, then using a jump lead (piece of wire that has two crocodile clips) join the positive and negative leads together and leave them for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes remove the jump lead (crocodile clips) and reconnect the positive lead to the battery terminal and tighten up, then reconnect the negative lead to the battery and tighten up. Start up the engine and turn the steering full lock left, hold for 3 seconds then full lock right, hold for 3 seconds, then full lock left again and hold for 3 seconds. Job done

Jump lead with crocodile clips.....
Must not be connected to any terminals that are still connected to a battery
