Afternoon Chaps

Prospective buyer here. Looking for an early V8 as a family bus / snow transport, not doing many miles.

Current Land Rover is a 1987 90 with a RRC V8, used as a play thing.

I’ll be over to the General Forum for some further stupid questions.

Great site, and a credit to all the contributors.

Carry on.

Hi all,

Had a quick browse through the forum and looks like a great resource. I'm currently on the lookout for a 4.4 v8 which will be my first RR, although there do not seem to be many about!

Andy

Yeah, was on the radio news today: in a recent survey 18% of people polled said they were seriously considering buying a 4x4 for their next vehicle. Nothing like a bit of snow to stop people looking at you as if you're a murderer! Thumbs Up

Ireland 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Java Black

Hi All,
I have just joined the forum. I have been reading your posts. They are very informative. I am hopping to purchase a 06 TD6 RR Vogue I would love a TDV8. But my budget does not strech that far. Sad I am living in southern Ireland. RR are very expensive to buy and run over here.

Welcome aboard. Would it be cheaper to buy in the UK and drive it back? Would you need to pay import duties? Could you service the car in NI?

To import it to Ireland. would be to expensive. They charge 30% of the cars value. It is such a rip off. I am Scottish. I moved over here 12 years ago. I know all about the Vehicle import tax. There is no way round it.
