Been after an air compressor and tools for a while, will dip my toe now

Spot blaster could be handy

The woven jute effect mats look like they could be possibly blue with ivory edging.

I've been fancying some air tools too - so I checked Machine Mart as a comparisson - their cheapest compressor is actually slightly cheaper - but with a lower displacement - in fact they don't do one as high as 9.5CFM

Their sub £100 model is half the weight of the Aldi one - I can't decide if that makes it better or worse

The air hose reel looks cheap as does the impact wrench - they are both £20 cheaper ! The Accessories kit is close to MM in price but MM have a curly air cable (better)

In compressor land bigger is better, you just never know when you'll need that extra CFM, I know through experience as I have 3 different compressors here

Noise is the next thing you need to take into account, modern compressors have fast running high speed motors, possibly 2800-3200rpm and they make a lot of noise, remember to switch it off when finished or the neighbours will be complaining. The quietest compressors are the older cast iron slow running machines, they run at between 750 and 1400 rpm and are very quiet (see below)

Anyone buying the Aldi equipment don't forget to buy the filter regulator as compressors produce a lot of water and you don't want it going into the airtools

This is my 3 phase beast, it puts out 23CFM and is powerful enough to be able to keep up without the aid of an airtank.

My latest purchase was an Ingersol Rand air chisel which I had to source from America
Perfect for pushing the driveshafts out of the hubs on the FFRR

A word of caution...
When using an air wrench do not be tempted to use ordinary sockets as they will shatter sending particles everywhere. Use only impact sockets, they're not expensive and because they are 6 sided are less prone to slipping[/quote]

LOOKS LIKE SOMETHING OUT THE SAW FILMS LOL

Had An Aldi compressor for 3 years now, I would recomend it a a cheap starter tool, but the 50 litre tank does not last long if you are sparaying or using the impact wrench. The impact wrench is not that powerful, it will take your wheels off, but don't expect it to take a crank pully bolt out.

Pretty sure most of the tools dont come with the male fitting you need to plug them into the hose so make sure you know where to get them from 56 TDV8 Vogue SE
