Ok this might seem a silly question but if you had a pre 07 with this strip and took it off would the top tail gate rattle a bit ? ? ( I dont have a 322 yet so I cant check and looking at ones in car parks would be a no no ) If it dont work.......burn it!

Not sure why it would rattle - the glass is bonded, and the strip just covers the point where the glass almost meets the bodywork. This isn't in the gap the between the upper and lower tailgate if that's what you're thinking? It doesn't change how the upper and lower tailgate are closed together. |

If you remove the strip there will be a lot of gunk in there and it takes some cleaning but probably worth it. |

Cheers Gaz. Upper tailgate was newly replaced a week or so ago, so hopefully it should be fairly clean. I'll see how 'gentle' the tapping has to be, and how easily it comes away then take it from there. |

It you start VERY gently it should move sideways a bit then you know its not going to shatter the glass! If its a new tailgate/glass then you should not have any problem... |

New tailgate - old glass refitted. Not that that should make any difference I suppose. |

None at all the glass would have been clean when fitted into tailgate so should come out quite easy. It has to be firm to avoid it moving around on its own. |

I removed mine last weekend by tapping a screwdriver downward in the corner and popping it out of the bottom as i did'nt want to scratch a line into the paint by pulling it out of one side...
