Strange electrical gremlins. HELP!

Evening folks.
I'm having some electrical problems on my 2002 TD6. It's been stood for a few days and today it has thrown up some strange problems. It starts and runs fine but; The radio display unit is constantly flashing on and off, the indicators are working but they are not flashing on the dash, light working, no inication on dash and there is a constant beep coming from the drivers footwell, even with the key out.
Anyone had this before or might know what's causing it??
Many thanks.

Muffster.

I have some of those problems except the beeping noise, also the radio comes on and off,my nav screen takes a while to work. i have changed my battery and some of the issues(no indicators on the dash and lights.) Try looking in the back and check the amp and tuner etc for water damage. Mine has, i have fitted a water shedder but i am going have to shell out for a replacement Harman Becker bm54 unit in the back. DOH!

I would agree with the battery if its getting on, it sorted nearly all my gremlins after I fitted a new one. Reformed

The battery is only 3 months old, i changed it after the old one died.
Since then all the electrics have gone off completely when driving it, and then they just come back on??!!
I've had the car over 5 years and it has always been garaged, execpt for the last 2 weeks so i hope water ingress isn't an issue.
So, any other offers please.
What is the bleep for in the passenger footwell?
And what is a water shedder?

Thanks.

Hi.
Yes iv'e done that, did a battery reconnect and cleaned up all the terminals.
Now all is back to normal but i'm not sure that this was the problem.
The only issue is the beeping from the footwell. Not sure what this is. There aren't any warnings on the dash, so what on earth is it for?
Could it be something to do with the keyfob?

Thanks.
Mark.

Have you had it on any diagnostics to see if its got any error messages anywhere?

Regarding the German, I think to get it back to english you need something like Testbook, Autologic, Rovacom etc. to do it.

Spose you could try disconnecting the battery one more time, maybe leave it over night before reconnecting. Reformed

Pull fues 47 or is it 49 and leave it out for a while half jour should do and re try it. I had similar issues when I first got mine and the Indy did this to reset the nav stuff. Why it Censored up the indicators etc I have no idea. [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]

After removing the key, one should wait 2minutes at least, before removing a battery terminal, or the SAT-NAV equipment could suffer damage.(see electrical manual's warning)
What battery was installed? (Bosch or Varta 110amp best) Possible new battery is Censored .
The fact that these problems arose after 2weeks not garaged ,seem to indicate battery not FULLY charged, and performance is not optimal-even if charged, the chemistry in the cold ambient temps, may only give enough to start, but not enough for all computing necessary.
Ontop of this , it stood a few days-what mileage is driven daily?Even a new battery, will not function adequately, if not charged sufficiently, in cold temperatures.
Have you thought of using a CTek M 7 battery charger overnight?
You could have a small drain to complicate the problem--see Scotty Kilmer on you tube to diagnose batter drain problems.
Hopefully it's something small, electrical irregularities could damage a body ECU, which is expensive! 2002 Vogue TD6

I replaced the battery a few months ago, i think the dead one was a 110 A/H ?
But the new one i put in is only a 90 A/H. The guy in the shop assures me it's the correct type and double checked in his books for the codes etc.
Could this be the problem?

Thanks.
