Re shutting . Mine doesn't stay shut either. If you take the bottom left side vent by the rear passengers feet off (easy clips on/off) you can see the mechanism which is pretty flimsy. Mine clearly had a part of it snapped off when forced previously (presumably)?

Just use two well placed bits of velcro on the inside lip and it stays shut , anyone in the back is none the wiser |

Oh - also - while you've got that lower vent panel off, there are two larger torx screws which become visible (one on each side) which I believe would probably allow you to remove the whole rear panel and get at the lid mechanism. Haven't tested that theory though. |
