Just to add a bit here - I know you said the aux battery needs to be winch capable, but if this is a longer term plan, then the main supply feed to the back fuse panel is more than enough for an aux battery to run a fridge and lighting for the time being. Just put whatever isolator you are using between that feed and your aux battery. I think that cable is rated to 40 amps off the top of my head, so it will work fine.

If you plan on running a larger cable at some stage, be prepared for a BIG job. Tim (from Traxide) has done this before, and it took him a whole day to run the cable properly - and he does this for living, and owns RR's!

When I get around to doing mine, I will just be sticking in the largest AMG battery that will fit in that space in the back, and charging it from the rear fuse supply - I will only be running a fridge and lighting from mine though...

If you get that winch fitted up, remember to post lots of pics! Thumbs Up

Good luck - Gav

Hi gav thanks for that I sort'a was begining to think that way ...just use the Aux Batt in the rear to run the fridge and lights, then when I sort out the winch mount (you can only get the cradle from a dealer and only with the winch attached) according to the man Dan...so I'm back to square one on that front gotta make me a mount.
At least I got the gearbox oil and fillter sorted today at a resonable cost.

Just for info, the cable that serves the rear fuse board is 16mm2 and is fused at 100A.
