I've just replaced mine and they now take over at approx. 40% lift. Any less than that and they're not working correctly.

Ha, ha. First cold, frosty morning with a ffrr under my ownership and the upper struts totally refused to play at all. Case proven. Off to buy some replacements!

Can I enquire exactly which struts you got? Need to replace mine as well since the tailgate tried to close on my head, and a recommendation would be appreciated. |
