Gutted for you mate! Looks like you'll have to get it looked at by someone with the diagnostic gear! Hopefully a simple (cheap) resolution and then you'll be using the FBH to get the car nice and warm in a morning!

I've now done more testing and can confirm that the remote starts the fans OK but the FBH doesn't fire up. The fans then run for a few mins and stop, presumably because the FBH isn't getting warm.

So, it's broke. Is there a DIY solution?

Graham, I had this last year, at the start the FBH was making lots of strange noises, to cut a long story short I had the FBH replaced but I still exactly that same problem as you. It turned out to be a software problem, a visit to the dealer for a full software update and it all worked fine.

something must get out of sync because it tried to start on remote or manual, lights would flash, fans would run, but as soon as it called for fuel the whole thing shut down.

Be aware though, i was advised it took HOURS to download the software on to the car because of the, ahem, unique way LR push the data. That, combined with a cr@ppy internet connection at the dealer, meant it could have been expensive if I didn't get it done for free by having a friendly contact.

Hope that helps.
S

Ahah, that's useful, thanks very much. I'll probably have to get it booked in. Graham
