United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Orkney Grey
Got my Vogue SE at last

Thought I'd better continue the post from the MY2012 colour coding in here.

Finally took delivery of my 2012 model Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8.

In the new Orkney Grey colour. Jet / Jet with factory Tints & fixed side steps. Also had the rear reclines with heated & cooled rear seats & the headrests can be pulled around to cushion your head with this option. Really comfy all round.
Rear DVD's are good with touch screen remote.
Front has the witchcraft dual view ! I can't stop checking it out leaning over to see what my other 1/2 is watching ! (when not driving of course......)

The 4.4 diesel has amazing torque and it just pulls & pulls.

I wasn't fussed about getting Adaptive cruise control, but now I got it, I'd never go back to standard cruise. It's superb. Follows cars at speed no problem, braking when needed to maintain the gap - really is amazing kit.

Can't remember the last time I had a grin on my face this big Very Happy

a few more pics in gallery

Thanks to everyone on here who helped with questions I had many months ago before ordering this one Thumbs Up

Here's a few quick ones. The colour doesn't seem to have come out as dark as it really is.
The Jet leather is quite black rather than light grey as it seems in the photo and has a cream stitching which really sets it off.

Dial for rear recline & heat / cooling

Lovely car Rolo Smile

Why did LR switch back to the rubber Land Rover decals in the door for MY12?

Thanks guys.

@ Johnson1 - yes, that made me laugh. They made such a thing about now having Range Rover caps on the wheels, yet inside it's still LR. Did they used to be Range Rover ???

@ pretlove - I'll try to take some piccys soon of the rears. For some reason my camera just won't get the colour right. Those seats look light grey, but they're almost black !
Not sure if I can upload a movie of the recliners. You don't get much movement, but just enough to make you feel super relaxed.

@ kingpleb - it doesn't come easy, I do work very hard to buy things like this Smile

No Rolo mine are Land Rover too but they're black/silver gloss like miniatures of the steering wheel centre Smile

I agree with power recline - just enough to make you chill. Headrests are fantastic!

@Johnson1 - perhaps they are only adding these to the 'special vehicles' now. These are available from fleabay - I am considering updating the ones in my door cards, but at £20 a pair it does seem like a pointless way to spend £40 (need one set for front doors and one set for rear doors). That said it will look better in my opinion and is a relatively cheap and subtle mod.

@Rolo - that is a beautiful car - enjoy it! I used a 4.4TDV8 Vogue SE on a recent LRE 1/2 day I got for free courtesy of Facebook. It made my 3.6 TDV8 seem underpowered in comparison and the new screens are amazing. I loved the way that the speedo half disappears to the right when you engage low range or the special programs and how the vehicle information appears in the middle of the screen. Thumbs Up

I certainly need to change career direction working 60-70hr weeks and just managing a 2005 td6 Sad

I can't believe how quickly they have moved things on in just a few years, shows how quick they adapt I guess Smile

Will the wee beasty ever get dirty you think??? Very Happy
