smoked rear lights

I had heard that the 2012 model was getting darker rear lights but they dont seem to have changed. The 2010 ones have always looked a bit blingy to me with all the silver inside so i decided to darken mine. I bought some tinting spray from a boy racer shop and gave my lenses 3 thin coats. I also did the reverse light lenses. They seem just as bright when working and im pleased with the way they look. I thought I would ask your opinions (good or bad) as its something a bit different. Im thinking of changing to black lettering as well but have not decided yet! [url]

All they've done on the 2012 is put a black backing. They don't really look any darker because the lens is still clear - in fact you have to look pretty close to notice the difference.

I'm not sure if what you've done is to my personal taste (but it's your car so do what you like Thumbs Up ), and it does blend quite nice with the paint colour Thumbs Up

Those are beautiful. Perfect execution with your vehicle color. I was not a fan of the 2010+ tails...until now.

Cam tech Craig can supply some fantastic smoked 2010 lights, with no red in them, they look fantastic on my old car.

When are you going to post some photos Craig? Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!

Thanks for your views. It is easily reversed as the tint wipes off with no trace with white spirit. I experimented with the number of coats as I didnt want them too dark. I agree they might not look right on a lighter coloured car.
