Hi all, has anyone got a link for which service kit to use for the gearbox on a 07 4.2 supercharged with the 6 speed zf box please?

Stuck here in Jersey and it's not something that I can go and pick up off the shelf unfortunately.

I'm looking for someone that does the complete kit,sump,fluid,and any seals(mechatronic) that would need doing as part of the job.

Found a friendly mechanic here,just need the parts.

You need to be sure that you’re getting a genuine IBS Filtran sump/filter as well as ZF Lifeguard Fluid 6.

If you do a Google search for ‘DA6085G’ you will find several others suppliers. You just need to check whether or not the kit includes the electrical connector sleeve (assuming you’re wishing to replace it).

Were you also thinking of removing the Mechatronic unit to replace the bridge seal and the four jump tubes?

Personally, if the connector sleeve is showing no signs of leakage, and the transmission is behaving itself, I’d be tempted to keep the disturbance to a minimum and to replace just the sump pan and fluid and leave the other components for another day.

Iv just bought full service kit for my new to me 5.0 sc. Ebay jobbies all say genuin......iv got transmission shudder which didn't show up on the test drive but on the way home after the deal was done. I'm planning on a full flush 1st with 10 litres of trans fluid then I'm dropping the pan and filter plus the bridges seal and drop tubes. Yes I see what you mean.

It's rolling over 135k now,only just started having a rough selection from drive to reverse so I'm hoping it's just got low on gearbox fluid,I'm not sure how long it's been leaking,but when I presented the car for inspecton get it registered here they spotted the leak and failed it.
Apart from that it's spotless and faultless so I'd rather chuck a fee quid at her and hope that sorts the inspection 🤞

I bought a refurb kit from a member here a few weeks ago. He bought it from Sussex Autos and it included a Zip Kit and the correct transmission fluid.

The parts cost him ~£800 all in and I got £300 off. The ad is still here and if you do a search, you’ll find it with a pic of all the parts supplied.

The car is currently with Pegasus Garage in Kent for its annual service (my first since I bought the car a year ago) and I’ll post an update once I get it back. The gearbox is perfect though it occasionally sticks in 3rd and I’m hoping that will be resolved! Des

As you’re actually experiencing some issues with your 6HP28 transmission, I think your suggestion to replace the bridge seal and jump tubes, as well as the sump pan and fluid, is very sensible as a first step. You’ll then have to re-evaluate, depending on whether it cures the shudder or not. Hopefully it will.
