Changing wiper arms to something universal

For years I have always used PIAA silicone wipers on my cars as they make vision in rain so much better.

However the L322 has put me in a frustrating position where I cant fit the universal wipers from PIAA in either traditional or aero format.

Is it possible to fit different wiper arms to the L322 so I can fit some PIAA wipers?

Many thanks

I wouldn’t put much weight on that vid considering that they’ve clearly rainx-ed the windscreen or similar for the silicon blades, but not the rubber ones.

Plus, I wouldn’t want silicon residue wiped across the window.

Nothing wrong with decent rubber personally. V8 or else ...

There is no rain-x applied to that car, that video is an accurate depiction of how they work. I have used them on about 6 different cars over the past 15 years. As they wipe they leave a layer of silicone on the screen which acts like rain-x but better. It vastly improves your field of vision.

This is the sort of thing I am after however it would move the wipers to below the arms which might prove troublesome when in use not to mention not look as neat

I tried so called "aero/beam blades" on my 322 (but they weren't silicon) they were still rubbish. Crunch came when car failed MOT because of them so I binned 'em and got the 808's like I should have done in the first place - perfect.

But that was a while ago and things may have moved on but I now have 808's on my l405 and of course they are tried and tested but is it time for me to experiment again. However all the articles I've read on the internet quietly mention the residue left of the windscreen by Silicon blades, I wouldn't like that. Geoff

Choice of wipers for the L322 arms is very, very limited.

HQ Aero blades fit but are useless and last 5 minutes, the only option that works well are the Bosch 808's.

If you've got an L322 and your biggest frustration is the lack of choice for wiper blades then you're in a good position Laughing 2002 4.6 Vogue SE - Alveston Red with Lightstone Leather

HQ aeros always seem to bring much discussion. I have used them on many cars with no issues.

But just the other day I noticed a little smearing in one direction of their sweep. On checking when I bought them I found they have been on the car for 4 years, I don't think that is bad at all.

Just to chime in, I bought cheap aeros from the bay and they have been faultless.
And they've had plenty of use.

I will admit that the rear wiper rusted very quickly so I replaced it with a Bosch item, but I've noticed that thats started chattering now. ---------------------------------

Those cheap aeros look good, shame I've already ordered some HQ's maybe next time.

I had a look at my rear wiper because the washer has never worked and found this..

It looks like a Bosch aero to me, so maybe fronts are available as well.
Also it looks like the wiper arm is not standard can any one confirm?

They look interesting, I wonder if they can be used to fit other wipers? I emailed the shop and they said they ahve only ever tested them on Bosch icons. Are bosh icon wipers universal fit? If so I could use those adaptors for other wipers

Dunno, haven't tried.

I'm giving this a go next, as they don't even need the adapter:

I just found this on AliExpress:
