My buying decision would be based on the condition of the bodywork only. Engine, gearbox & transmission can all be replaced. If you have a body that is rotten as a pear that could cost a small fortune. And if it's that rotten you would really need someone that really knows what he's doing and doesn't take any short cuts as the rot will only come back if not done properly.
