Leaving the RR for a month

Going away for 4 weeks shortly and will be leaving the TD6 at home, there’s no known battery drain but this is a RR, and mid Nov through to mid Dec would see some freezing temperatures….

What’s best to do? Lock it up as usual and hope, put it on CTEK trickle charge (won’t be anyone visiting the house to check on it though) or disconnect the battery?

Or am I worrying over nothing Rolling Eyes

I leave mine on the CTEK without issue. That’s what I’d do.

I've got a cheap generic trickle charger and the 405 has lived on it for three months with no issues, in fact it's on it now as we are off for a couple of months tomorrow...

It usually has flat spotted tyres when we return but 5 miles is usually enough to get them round again.. Thumbs Up Pete

Thanks gents. So trickle charge (I use the lighter socket in the boot and feed the extension lead between upper and lower tailgate and lock it with the remote?

Disconnecting the battery is a simple fix but not sure what you mean about using the lighter socket - do you mean to provide power to the charger, if so that’s not going to work.

Scouse, sorry I meant plug the CTEK into the lighter socket in the boot like I usually do, then run extension lead it’s plugged into from the house, between the upper and lower tailgate.

It’s how I usually trickle charge it for a few days, but it sits on the driveway unlocked but blocked in by another car.
