I leave mine on the CTEK without issue. That’s what I’d do.

I've got a cheap generic trickle charger and the 405 has lived on it for three months with no issues, in fact it's on it now as we are off for a couple of months tomorrow...

Thanks gents. So trickle charge (I use the lighter socket in the boot and feed the extension lead between upper and lower tailgate and lock it with the remote? |

Disconnecting the battery is a simple fix but not sure what you mean about using the lighter socket - do you mean to provide power to the charger, if so that’s not going to work.

Scouse, sorry I meant plug the CTEK into the lighter socket in the boot like I usually do, then run extension lead it’s plugged into from the house, between the upper and lower tailgate.
