Hi all,

I need some help. My 2003 TD6 has developed a loose wing mirror on the passenger side, to such an extent if you shut the door it moves, hit a pot hole at 70mph it will move!

Is there an easy fix for this?, or does it require a full new mirror?

Fairly easy fix. With a flat screwdriver pop the round cover under the hinged part of the arm to reveal 3 torx screws. They have most likely come loose...

Mine does that as well, had a look at it and discovered that the play is in the gearbox on the motor.

By the look of it the gearbox is accessible once the motor has been removed and the wires unsoldered, worth a look as well as all the mounting screws.

(a job when its warmer for me )

Tried the torx screws, but no improvement, mechanic thinks clutch in the gearbox had gone within the mirror mechanism, don’t believe you can buy this separately.

Now need to either find a good used one or find a way to fix the mirror in place internally L322 TD6 2003

That's a pity it didn't work. Are your mirrors folding by the button? Try holding the button pressed down for a few seconds and see if that fixes anything.
There is another set of 3 screws at the top of the motor housing but you will have to pop the bezel and cover off the mirror to access those.
