Abs Sensor

Hi All (again)
My 2011 Vogue 4.4 Tdv8 is throwing up the Abs light among many others
Mechanic says Rhr abs sensor which i got from Duckworths but non land Rover due to availability. It had to be Delphi.
Still showing the same. Suggestion is now reluctor ring or driveshaft.
Before i go this far i want to ask if anyone has had issues with Delphi sensors?
He did try to remove the driveshaft but i think securely in place was an understatement.
Cheers
Gary

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Barolo Black

I had issues with the same sensor which i used a Genuine RR part for as others has had issues with other makes.
also another cause is the brake light switch on the back of the pedal again get a genuine part (I got mine from BMW) it looks like this

https://www.eurocarparts.com/search/464110...H0QAvD_BwE

Easy to fit and gives the same error codes as the ABS sensor. If you have a scanning tool you should be able to see if it is the ABS sensor it shows a MPH reading (Well it does in IcarSoft)

By the way my ABS sensor had been broken then glued into place as a bodge, took ages to remove it 2012 Vogue 4.4 TDV8 - Current

Thanks Jayk.

Not sure what software he uses but it is saying Rhr Abs something or other.

I might have a look at the brake light switch as well. Shouldnt be a big job.

I remember seeing a post about a connection through the front wheel arch throwing up various lights also so i will have to have a nosey in there as well.

Blooming cars eh!

You can get the reluctor rings separately now I think. Had to buy a whole new driveshaft when the ring rusted through on my TD6….

Though they do only list the TD6 here…

https://www.reluctorrings.com/cars/landrover

Might be beneficial to do a bit of research if they want to change the whole driveshaft.

If you can access live data, check the sensor circuit by removing the sensor and waving a magnet across the end of it, if you see a speed signal, then the sensor & circuit is OK and it is the reluctor ring (or the distance the sensor is from it).
Are you absolutely sure you have the correct sensor for that wheel hub?

Hi guys, Thanks for the replies. Spoke to the reluctor ring folkies and they dont list one although if i can get mine off or know the size they will make one for me.

Ill have a word with the mechanic about running a magnet accross the sensor.

I hope.the sensor is correct. It came from Duckworths but Land Rover were out of stock with no date of re supply.

Replies are ways appreciated.
