Greece 2004 Range Rover HSE 4.4 V8 Java Black

I would start checking the wiring, starting from the engine bay. Take your time with a good torch and start from the exposed portions of the wiring under the bonnet. Then remove the acoustic cover and then the ECU box cover. Look for obvious damage and chafing.
Also, iirc, there is a suspension or transmission ECU on the firewall, that's behind the battery on a LHD model. May be worth checking it's wiring as well...

Ok I have put back in the original abs ecu (as error codes where the same) but I found this (see photo missed it before) I have cleaned it up , could only clear the error codes using gap tool -calibration-steering angle sensor and all cleared did a quick test drive seemed ok but had this before………I wondering if the sas could be intermittently faulty also did have anew error code (see photo).any thoughts guys ?

right wife just txt and told me fault came back when she started the car Censored Censored Censored Censored .........i dont get it .when she gets home tonight ill check the error codes but guessing they will be the same the onlt thing ive not done is replace the sas and see if that is the problem
but wheni run live values for the abs sensors they are all good same as the sas ,if there are some other live values i should be checking could someone let me know (still new to the gap tool)

Can't see the photos (404 error) but the SAS can indeed be faulty intermittently.

hi yea sorry was trying to delete old photos but deleted them all .....when wife gets home ill check error codes and post the sas is the only thing i haven't looked at just due to where it is but i have a replacment
so going to have get it sorted

Granted it's a different part design, my SAS would be OK one day and another wouldn't. Seemed to do well at low ambient temperatures and almost always failed after the car was left sitting outside on a hot day...

Looks like mine is ok in the sun …..I’m going to change it anyway if it’s started to play up it’s not going to get any better
