Spotted an oil leak (circled in red below) after a 30min drive today.

Only thing that I remember was hearing an odd ticking noise while at the traffic lights after setting off.

Drives fine, sits normal and no warnings lights.

Just what looks like a small explosion of light oil at a low’ish point of the wheel well (engine bay is dry).

Have a look, any advice welcome!

Sounds about right. I’m no mechanic - is it something like transmission fluid that is leaking from the split boot (if it is that). No idea of what the CV joint entails.

Would the oil drip from the plastic under-tray like mine is if it’s the CV joint? (See red circles on the pics above) 2009 pre-facelift 3.6 TDV8.

Turns out it’s a power steering fluid leak.

Weeping from a metal hose / pipe somewhere behind the bumper according to the nice RAC bloke who came out to investigate.

Guessing it squirted out everywhere while I was near to full lock at some point on my way home the other day.

Need to top it up to get to my mates garage, what’s the best stuff? Texaco Cold Climate 33270?

My immediate thoughts were your high pressure power steering hose. The reason - because there's clearly a spray mark on the arch.

They're not too difficult to change - only thing is the position of the power steering pump.

Power steering fluid grade is EXT but the handbook states "Texaco Cold Climate PAS Fluid 14315 (UK)" Just be mindful that as your hose has let go, air is making its way into the system, so irrespective of topping up, you risk damage to your pump. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

What’s the best website for exploded diagrams for L322’s?

Trying to get a sense of where these pipes are located! 2009 pre-facelift 3.6 TDV8.

The workshop manual in the WIKI has a clear diagram with all the components, section 211-02, steering system. It also has all the torque values etc.
