Anyone else think he hasn't really made a successful transition from TV to Youtube? Not enough technical detail to interest the subject orientated enthusiasts and not quite the right personality to work as pure entertainment. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

good to see Ed on his L322 but quite a lot wrong from the moisture-in-starter bad diagnosis to removal of the scuttle panel to change the battery to the £600 starter full replacement.

He had the classic double bonanza of a low battery and direct solenoid contacts both in unison causing no crank.

Ed you just need to be on this forum mate and you will get all the answers.

I thought it was odd removing the scuttle to change the battery but it saved him moving the ECU and wiring harness out of the way like I did when I changed the battery on ours.

Probably 6 and half a dozen as to which way it's done really.

Easy solution just change torx screws to 10mm bolts Justin case you need access when you don’t have all the tools with you

yes that is what I did, madness to use a torx just to make things more difficult than they have to be !

Edd put the L322 in for MOT on 4th June 24, and it failed

Doesn’t make any sense that does it really, I mean why would you put a car in for an MOT with a tyre(s) in such a state. Let alone all the other stuff, which is also bizarre, it’s surely a waste of the £40?

I know it can be retested for the defects etc but I wouldn’t let a car go for a test knowing it’s going to fail as he surely must have done?
