United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 V8 Orkney Grey
My first Range Rover some advice please

Just put a deposit on a 2011 4.4 tdv8 Vogue SE in decent condition with 161k miles with full service history JLR till 130k and specialist afterwards.

I have a few questions

Keys, it has 2 but one was kept in a safe for 6 years and does not connect with the car anymore, seller says it may be battery or cheap reprogram, is this correct?

The CD changer no longer works, so can anyone recommend a repair or replacement (used maybe)

Do they all have a heater that works before you enter the vehicle or is this an extra when new?

Should all 2011 models have the screen that allows the passenger to watch TV whilst the driver has navigation or another screen on.

The tailgate glass has seals along the edge that are pretty knackered, are these replaceable?

From the VIN number can I get the build sheet from somewhere?

Also can someone recommend a reasonable specialist near Basildon Essex please

That's about it for now, many thanks

Welcome!
All have a fuel burning heater which you can programme to come on via the menu on the centre screen or manually start with a small key fob. Did they give you it with the sale?

Tailgate trims. Remove and clean the glass. Don’t bother refitting. Waste of money etc Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

I spoke to the seller today and he does not have the key fob for the heater.

Regarding the main car key, nobody has managed to reply on this one.

He say's the spare key has been in his safe for 6 years and maybe needs a new battery and re-programming. Is this a thing? Or would I have to buy a new key from the main dealer?

I very much doubt it would need reprogramming - I’ve had 2 L322’s and only used one key - the other went flat - I just replaced the battery for the odd occasion it may be needed in an emergency 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

Regarding the Split View screen, I believe it was a £615 optional extra.

However if you search for 2011/2012 Range Rover brochure on the forum. Someone uploaded the full brochures so you can add it all up yourself!

There’ll be a button to press if it has the dual screen functionality. I think it’s to the right of the entertainment screen 2016 4.4 diesel

It was one of the first things I did when purchasing mine. Emailed duckworths for the spec sheet and compared it to the brochure! Just good to know what it came specced like from new!
