I believe the sensor is under the fuel filter. Mine did that once, when I splashed through a few deep puddles….

It is a known fault on L322 it could actually be water in fuel , have you run the tank very low or filled up at a different garage lately? On L322 it is normally a sensor in the housing that fails if I remember correctly lack of parts means replacing the housing which costs circa £300 plus labour. 2012 tdv8 Westminster arrived Jan 19 gone Dec 23

Driven a couple of hundred miles since. It hasn't reappeared and all is good.
