You need to remove pin 13 from the mongoose connector as it is not implemented on earlier vehicles but 2013 on it causes a short on the MS Can and hence you get lots of warning lights and errors until you unplug it and leave the car to shutdown.

And me, my solution was to buy the genuine JLR VCI, then I discovered the pin 13 solution, worked perfectly, but just use the JLR unit now as most Mongooses are clones and *can* screw up when flashing ecu's.
