Have you done the 'full' reset? not just the 'I've changed the oil' reset? You need to do the oil level reset (hold for 5 seconds) to establish the baseline.

I did the bonnet and driver door open with ignition on and brake/eccelorater pedals down for 30 seconds.
Is that what you mean?

That's just the service interval reset, not the oil level reset.

Thank you for the info. I'll set it up after getting up to temp.

Also is it normal for high pitch sound from the engine bay after switching off the ignition and locking the car? If no what can this be?

Could be turbo / EGR doing their end-to end clean/calibration sweep, without hearing it I can't be 100% but those components do move on shutdown.
